 What to expect:

At the first appointment the problem area(s) will be discussed and questions about your general health will be asked.  As our sports masseurs work closely with very experienced physiotherapists, you can feel safe that you will be appropriately advised if your problem will not be relieved by sports massage on its own and requires alternative intervention.  As this is a 'hands on' therapy the therapist will require the treatment area to be clear of clothing.  Patient dignity will be maintained  through the use of towels. Depending on the sensitivity of the area the therapist will ensure patient feedback as to the appropriate level of pressure.  At the end of the treatment the therapist may suggest stretches or postural corrections to be carried out independently to assist your performance further.

What you will need:

  • Loose comfortable clothing.

  • If it is a home visit space will be required for a massage couch and to complete floor work.
